We’re transforming Simplyhealth and for the last 12 months we’ve really picked up the pace. Having come together as one Simplyhealth team, under one new brand we’re continuing to transform our business to reach our 2024 ambition, grow Simplyhealth and ultimately deliver our powerful purpose.

We’re now looking for an experienced Mobile Application Developer to join our newly formed team on an FTC until the end of December 2021, working in collaboration with our solutions architect and team leader to support the ongoing evolution of our partnered apps.

About the Role

As a valued member of our Technology team, we’ll look to you to communicate with business stakeholders and 3^rd part providers to establish a development capability that works to best practices and industry standards from the very beginning.

You’ll take time to continually evolve and revise development policies, principles, standards and best practice, building reusable code and libraries for future use.

You’ll have the curiosity to ask why and always be looking to further develop your skills and knowledge on new tools and technology in a business environment.

You will be familiarized with mobile platform Application Programming Interfaces such as Apple iOS, and Android. Experience of React Native is a must, along with experience in mobile user interface design, cross platform app development and back end computing. Also good knowledge of the following:

• Understanding of UI Functional Development and Front End Development
• Experience of using JavaScript test frameworks such as Jest, Jasmine or Mocha
• Experience of deploying apps and managing them within the app-stores
• Understanding of the core clean code principles such as SOLID and DRY and the reasons for their importance

As well as a competitive basic salary you’ll receive:
