About The Role

The MI Analyst will work in close partnership with the business, as a valued, capable and trusted partner providing decision makers with accurate, timely and compelling MI & data analysis which will not only inform on performance through easy access and tools but also aid great decisions.

You'll be working as part of the MI community and alongside the IT BI team to design, test and publish efficient data solutions to support the growing data requirements of the organisation by:

·       Working with the business and commercial team to develop and refresh timely, relevant and insightful MI and monitoring reports to support senior management’s evidence-based decision making.

·       Regularly conduct data extraction, manipulation and reporting training to support upskilling of the wider commercial team.

·       Assess appropriate pricing for new business opportunities and renewals.

·       Assist in the management and development of the existing / future data platform(s) to ensure robustness and integrity is maintained, ensuring it is structured in such a way to support MI and business needs.

·       Adhere to data security and integrity guidelines alongside undertaking all mandatory learning as requested by the business.

·       Provide cover to ensure that Corporate commission payments are made in a timely, consistent and auditable manner.

  • Proactively manage self-development by making best use of existing training resources (i.e. Udemy, online Tableau and SQL resources
About You

·       Excellent communication skills at all levels – verbal, written and IT 

·       Enthusiasm about data analytics and its potential to deliver insights to drive great business outcomes.

·       Team player with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude committed to delivering an outstanding quality service and consistent customer focused support

·       Strong technical skills including the use of MS Excel/Access, CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce), Data Modelling, Data Visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) and Data Warehouses.

·       Strong knowledge of SQL  and/or similar analytical tools

·       Strong analytical skills with a logical and methodical approach to problem solving work combined with attention to detail and accuracy

·       You enjoy solving problems that deliver commercial value and you are able to deliver analytical projects in a fast-paced environment

·       Commercial awareness including knowledge and understanding of business models, processes and systems

·       Strong organisation and prioritisation skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks

·       Ability to work under pressure and work independently and/or collaboratively to deliver and work to challenging deadlines

·       Willingness to challenge processes, be flexible and work under own initiative
