About The Role

The Financial Risk Manager is a great opportunity to join a vibrant and exciting business as we embark upon the next step of our strategic journey.  Acting as the Assurance Team subject matter expert on financial risk and reporting, you will play a key role in the ongoing development and embedding of financial risk management across our business based at our head office in Hampshire.

Reporting to the Head of Risk you’ll have responsibility for supporting our risk agenda ensuring we develop great practices and work closely with the first line in embedding good practice. You’ll provide subject leadership and guidance to a diverse team to ensure we understand emerging risks and work extensively with a range of stakeholders to ensure the financial risks to the strategy are understood and understood appropriate actions are taken. 

You will manage the ORSA process, working with stakeholders ensuring it the process is embedded and used proactively as a management tool, and coordinating delivery of the ORSA report.

Having recently come together as one Simplyhealth team, and with a new simplified operating model, the Assurance Team is adapting to meet the needs of the business, which is where you’ll play an important part in working across the business to reach our vision of a strategic health ‘hub’ that will help our customers to predict, manage and protect their health through a growing range of digital services.

About You

You’ll need a deep understanding of financial risk management with experience in a comparable role in compliance, risk, legal or senior management. You’ll be a great team player who can apply practical approaches to the application of our risk and compliance needs across the business. You will need to be collaborative and able to work with colleagues at all levels. You’ll be comfortable presenting and being challenged and have sufficient experience to explain the complexities of any challenges that may be raised.

We're happy to consider applications from applicants based throughout the UK, please note there will be a need for 1-4 visits to the Andover office per month

In Return

You’ll receive a competitive basic salary plus:

·       36 days holiday (including 8 bank holidays) with an option to buy or sell a further 5 days

·       Group annual bonus (discretionary) up to 7.5% of annual salary

·       A pension scheme with 6% from us, a minimum 3% from you with the option to increase or decrease when you join. If you decide to contribute 4% or above we will add a further 4% which can be allocated in different ways
