Are you an expert financial modeller that’s confident in providing insights and support to aid the development of a group financial strategy?

At Simplyhealth, we’re looking for an experienced Head of Corporate Finance, to join our Andover based team and drive an effective financial business planning process, which supports the strategic vision for the Simplyhealth Group.

The role

We’re seeking a key player in our Finance Leadership team, helping us to create and sustain a cohesive and collaborative finance organisation with a strong sense of purpose, resilience and capabilities to partner the leadership team through business evolution and change.  You’ll be responsible for;

  1. Strategic and Business modelling

  2. Providing insight and guidance in Capital Modelling

  3. Helping to shape overarching pricing strategies and frameworks

  4. Using competitor analysis and benchmarking to stimulate debate and challenge for ways Simplyhealth can do better

  5. Investment Appraisals and Assessments

  6. Internal Project Investments

  7. M&A activities

  8. Business Planning Process

  9. Designing and driving an effective process throughout the year

  10. Coordinating with the Strategy and Commercial Finance teams

  11. Group Reporting

About You

Your experience

You’ll need a track record of investment appraisal; helping to shape strong business cases through to creating the right tools and environment for benefits realisation. Due to the demands of the role you’ll need to be commercially astute, confident in understanding capital modelling and risk evaluation, experienced in M&A process from pipeline development to valuation of opportunities, due diligence and integration, and, be a self-confident individual, with sufficient gravitas and experience to command the respect of senior managers within the business unit and to create collaborative relationships.

As well as a competitive basic salary you’ll receive:

  • Group annual bonus (discretionary) up to 12% of annual salary

  • £6,000 car allowance

  • 28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays with an option to buy or sell a further 5 days

  • A pension scheme with 6% from us, a minimum 3% from you with the option to increase or decrease when you join. If you decide to contribute 4% or above we will add a further 4% which can be allocated in different ways

  • Eligibility for our recognition award scheme – one off payments of £2,500 or £5,000

  • A yearly company funded allowance of £500 that you can choose to use against some great benefits such as shopping vouchers, pet insurance, dental plans and more
