About The Role

We’re looking for a VB6 Software Developer to work with Product Owners, Business Analysts and business users to develop software solutions based on business need across Simplyhealth.

We’ll look to you to produce well structured, efficient and reliable code within the agreed timescales and ensuring that changes are checked out/in in a timely manner and maintaining an awareness of any potential impact on other Developers in the team.

Please note this role will be home based in line with our new ‘smart working’ approach; there may be a requirement to attend regular meetings at our Hampshire head office in line with government guidelines and undertake travel related to the role.

About You

As an experienced end-to-end developer of high-quality software applications on a range of medium to large scale projects, You’ll have a good working knowledge of the Microsoft .NET development stack (.Net Core, C#, .NET, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server), older framework knowledge is desirable, with the drive to learn new technologies.

You’ll consider yourself a strong communicator, be able to effectively communicate technical subjects to team members and a willing contributor to the team.

In Return

As a PAYE colleague you’ll receive a competitive basic salary plus:

  • Group annual bonus (discretionary) up to 7.5% of annual salary
  • 36 days holiday (including 8 bank holidays) with an option to buy or sell a further 5 days
  • A pension scheme with 6% from us, a minimum 3% from you with the option to increase or decrease when you join. If you decide to contribute 4% or above we will add a further 4% which can be allocated in different ways
