About The Role

We’re looking for a commercially focused finance business partner with experience of business partnering activities in commercial environments to join our team as Head of Finance Business Partnering.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll lead the planning, delivery and reporting of the group wide Financial Business Plan with a focus on internal management information to better understand our business.

You’ll work with key stakeholders around the business to understand what is going on, challenging numbers and action plans where needed in a tactful way, working with peers to ensure delivery of plans and ensuring accountability through a reliable cycle of reporting and analysis.

You’ll be a highly visible and credible leader, able to act and communicate in a way that builds energy and commitment to the strategic direction of the business with a genuine interest in shaping and developing the team.

Please note this role is a 12-month fixed-term contract and will be home based in line with our new ‘smart working’ approach; there may be a requirement to attend meetings at our Hampshire head office in line with government guidelines.

About You

In order to be successful, you must have developed business partnering activities in a challenging commercial environment with a strong background in working across all functions within a business. You’ll be working with the Executive Committee (ExCo) and other leaders around the business so will need a level of gravitas and seniority through experience at ExCo level to provide the appropriate level of support and challenge.

You’ll have worked in environments where systems and processes aren’t perfect and be able to articulate tangible examples of where you have innovated suitable workarounds with great outcomes. You will be data driven, able to look at data and ask the right questions to ensure the right challenges are made in an appropriate way.

You’ll embrace business change positively, using it as an opportunity to improve the way things are done whilst taking people with you along the way.

In Return

As a PAYE colleague you’ll receive a competitive basic salary plus:

  • 16% group annual discretionary bonus
  • £6,000 car allowance
  • 36 days holiday (including 8 bank holidays) with an option to buy or sell a further 5 days
  • A pension scheme with 6% from us, a minimum 3% from you with the option to increase or decrease when you join. If you decide to contribute 4% or above we will add a further 4% which can be allocated in different ways
